City Council Approves New Affordable Housing Project

Tampa Bay's City Council has approved a new affordable housing project that will provide much-needed homes for low-income families and individuals. The project, called "The Bayside," will be located on a vacant lot in the city's historic Ybor City neighborhood and will consist of 200 units, including one- and two-bedroom apartments.

The project is a partnership between the city and Tampa Bay Habitat for Humanity. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2024 and be completed by the end of 2025.
