The San Diego Padres have traded three prospects to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for All-Star second baseman Adam Frazier. The Pirates received outfielder Jack Suwinski and pitcher Michell Miliano in the deal, which was announced on July 26, 2023.
Details of the Trade
In addition to Frazier, the Padres also sent cash considerations to the Pirates. In return, the Padres acquired Marcano, a 21-year-old infielder who was ranked as the Pirates' No. 1 prospect by MLB Pipeline. Suwinski, a 23-year-old outfielder, was ranked as the Pirates' No. 8 prospect, while Miliano, a 22-year-old right-handed pitcher, was ranked as the Pirates' No. 12 prospect.
