Doncaster's Unbeaten Streak Ends

Northampton Earns Crucial Away Win

Doncaster Rovers' unbeaten start to the League Two season came crashing down on Saturday, March 25, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Northampton Town at the Sixfields Stadium.

Northampton opened the scoring in the 38th minute through a goal from Scott Anderson. The visitors extended their lead in the 72nd minute with a goal from Danny Miller.

Doncaster pressed for an equalizer, but Northampton's defense held firm to secure their first away win of the season. The result leaves Doncaster in 13th place in the standings, while Northampton moves up to 11th.

Northampton manager Jon Brady expressed his delight with the performance and result. "We knew it would be a tough game, but the players showed great character and determination," he said. "We have a lot of quality in our squad, and we're starting to show what we can do."

Doncaster manager Gary McSheffrey admitted that his team was disappointed with the outcome but praised Northampton's performance. "We didn't play as well as we can, and Northampton deserve credit for the win," he said. "We'll learn from this and come back stronger next time."
